Hong Kong JMA

Aiko Designs is going back to Asia!  I was invited and accepted to participate in the Hong Kong JMA show.  I’m super excited to get back to Asia this year and am thrilled to be included in the International Arena of this large jewelry show.

The HKJMA show is in its 17th year and I will be participating in the “International Arena” which is showcasing smaller, independent jewelry designers from France, India, the US, Canada, Japan, Korea and many other countries.  The event takes place Nov. 26-29th and is open to the public and the trade.

If you happen to be in Hong Kong or know someone there who would be interested, please stop by!  More details here.

Buyers Market of American Craft

From Tucson to Philly – I’m off to the Buyers Maret | The Buyers Market of American Craft (also known as the Rosen Show) starts at the end of the week in Philadelphia. The Rosen Show is a carefully selected, wholesale tradeshow where artists/artisans/jewelry designers can meet and sell directly to retailers.  Aiko Designs will be in attendance in booth #633.  This event is open to the trade only.  More on the show from the Buyers Market web site:

For fine-craft artists who have decided that wholesale exhibiting is the best way to spend more time in the studio and less time on the road, the Buyers Market of American Craft (BMAC) offers the world’s largest venue for artists to meet qualified buyers. This show provides a professional setting for the development of wholesale contacts and to generate new business for both buyers and sellers.

San Francisco Open Studios ‘08

It’s that time of year again — San Francisco Open Studios is almost here. Studios of participating artists in the Mission District of San Francisco will be open the third weekend of October.

The organizer of SF Open Studios, ArtSpan is a nonprofit organization that builds community by connecting the public to visual arts in San Francisco. For over 30 years, San Francisco Open Studios has provided the public with an opportunity to see artists in their workspaces.

This year there will be extended hours at my studio, although I might not be there on the last day (Sunday) as I overbooked with another event, Capsule. Here are the hours for this fall’s open studios here in the Mission:

10/16 Thursday: After work preview from 5-8pm
10/17 Friday: Opening party from 7-11pm
10/18-19 Sat/Sun: 11am-6pm

To find me at SF Open Studios, stop by the 3rd floor of 744 Alabama St., San Francisco.
